Marines Outfit Afghan Security Forces
The 1,000 fleece coats and 1,000 caps purchased at the request of the Marines at Camp Leatherneck have arrived and been distributed to Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF). Thanks to your generous donations to our Winter Clothing & Boots for Afghan Security Forces, $14,250 worth of vital winter clothing to outfit the ANSF for the winter.
A critical goal of the United States, NATO and Afghanistan is to prepare Afghan security forces – Army and Police – toprovide security, thus reducing the burden on American troops. Themore effective the Afghan forces become, the faster American servicemen and women can return home. A primary component of preparing these local forces is to insure they are equipped with the gear and clothing necessary for the elements.
