SPC Kissam in Iraq- Items for Iraqi orphans
Help Chaplain Assistant SPC Kissam Adopt an Orphanage!!Chaplain Assistant SPC Jonathon Kissam has reached out for Spirit of America's assistance in a very special project. Along with his Chaplain, CPT Steve Dunn, SPC Kissam plans to adopt an orphanage where they are stationed in Northern Iraq. Of course, this is no small undertaking, and many items are needed to improve the lives of the children in need- particularly blankets, children's shoes, and toys. Originally from FT Wainwright, Alaska, these soldiers will be in the country until next August and are eager to bring comfort to these orphaned children. SPC Kissam is already expressing his gratitude in his initial emails with us as he writes, "thank you for all you and your supporters do...God bless and take care!"

SPC Kissam's Orginal Request
We are really grateful that people are still thinking about us!!! It means a lot to the soldiers and a lot to the Iraqis. Our plan is to adopt an orphanage out in the city and help the children out. Toys, school supplies and others would help out really a lot. Our Squadron Commander is in big favor of this mission and we are also. Spirit of America is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
