Help Army Chaplain Murphy Bring Clean Water To Iraq

Help turn the 'Triangle of Death' into the 'Triangle of Hope'

Clean drinking water is a basic necessity and something that most Americans take for granted. However, United Nations figures suggest that barely one in three Iraqis have access to clean drinking water. Waterborne diseases like diarrhea — the most prolific killer of children under 5 — remain a problem. Though providing essential services is a cornerstone of the US military's counter-insurgency strategy, the scope of the problem, particularly in rural areas, has left many Iraqis without clean water. Army Chaplain Brian Murphy would like your help in changing this by providing solar-powered water purifiers to Iraqi communities and individual families in need.

Chaplain Murphy's Request for Soccer Balls & Water Purifiers
I am happy to say that our current mission of both helping the Iraqi people gain security in their country as well as winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people is going very well. After saying that, we can see that the people of Iraq are being torn by making the decision of working with us or being coerced into working against us by terrorists.
Frankly, helping us meet the needs of the Iraq population assists Soldiers in winning Iraq’s loyalty and in the end this helps protect our Soldiers. The sport of soccer tends to bring a great deal of National pride to the Iraqi peoples. What we would like to do is continue to support this pride by getting soccer balls out to the local communities. This also goes a long with our community based soccer stadium that we are currently waiting to open. The area we are in was formally called the “triangle o death” in the last eleven months, we have helped to turn that into a “triangle of hope”. The Iraq people are in great need of medical supplies and clean water. We have great hopes to supply them with solar power water filters of any size and as many medical supplies that we can get.
The compassion of the American Soldier is one of the most powerful weapons in our arsenal. When we arm the Soldier with these items and give them to Iraqi families it gives them hope and helps them to understand that the propaganda that they hear about Americans is not true. You can help us to do that.
Blessings
