Lieutenant Pays It Forward with "Eagles" Help
A former Spirit of America project contact was so grateful for the support given to her during her tour in Afghanistan that she decided to "pay it forward" and organize a donation to help those currently serving in Afghanistan provide supplies to local villagers.
Robin Steffan Hossfeld, an Army Lieutenant Colonel who received help through Spirit of America's collaboration with the Operation Care project wrote: "You helped me get in supplies when I was working Operation Care in Afghanistan. I want to pay the Spirit of America back ... so you can continue helping the next soldier in getting shoes or whatever supplies they need."
At a dinner with the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #871 based in Alexandria, Virginia, Robin collected a donation of $850 for Spirit of America. This generous donation from the Eagles Auxiliary will be used to support new requests through our Afghanistan Project Fund.
We are so grateful to Robin and the "Eagles" for their support!
