Final Goodbye From Phoenix V

We received a final message from SFC Spencer Martin serving with the Phoenix V Army team in Afghanistan.

Thanks to your generous support, Spirit of America is proud to have been a part of the renovation of  the Ibnisina Emergency Hospital under our Hospital Supplies for Afghanistan project.

The time is getting near that I'll be leaving this place. I wanted to take a moment to update you on our hospital project and tell you how much we appreciate our relationship with you.

To date, we've spent nearly $250,000 renovating Ibnisina Emergency Hospital. We have re-done the plumbing, electrical, roof, surgical center and the patient rooms. We have painted the entire facility, replaced windows, installed heater/AC units, upgraded the water capacity, replaced all 400 beds, acquired 800 new pillows, and (including donations from SOA) have provided over $45,000 of medical supplies. Additionally, we have one last project which includes all new sheets, computers, industrial laundry machines, copiers, and other "support" items for general hospital operations.

Your cause is a worthy one. Your support has been phenomenal. Thousands of Afghans will benefit from the generosity of your supporters. I can't thank you enough for your help."
